For Clearing 2018, the University of Gloucestershire wanted a social media campaign that would make a big impact.
So, we created all kinds of dynamic content under the rallying cry – ‘Time to shine’. This included a number of fast-paced videos that repurposed existing imagery and made the most of a high-energy music track with bespoke lyrics to engage, connect and inspire potential students to apply.
At the heart of everything was a 45-second hero video that gave potential students a whistle-stop tour of the many reasons to join the University. We then created separate 15-second videos based on the hero video chapters that focused on different elements of the learning experience – play, study, courses, placements, study abroad and the different campuses.
To give some courses an extra boost at Clearing, we also created a number of 6-second subject specific videos to quickly grab the attention of students through a targeted PPC campaign.
All of this activity was supported by mobile phone ads, a suite of posts as part of a diverse social media content strategy, a video that gave a quick guide to Clearing in less than 30-seconds and a ‘10 reasons to join us’ video.
