    Charlotte Fenney
    Agency Director

    Charlotte has over 20 years’ experience of senior client facing roles gained at Havas, where she specialised in Education Marketing and Employer Branding for a diverse range of UK and global brands.

    Joining the talented team here at Waterfall in May 2021, Charlotte takes the lead with agency operations and oversees all kinds of projects. Charlotte builds strong relationships with our clients and makes sure that together we always deliver excellence from campaigns and videos to podcasts and brand development.

    Highly respected in our industry for her intelligence, creativity and professionalism, Charlotte has worked on a variety of award-winning campaigns. Charlotte makes a real difference and a positive contribution outside of work too. She has been a Trustee of Manchester Central Foodbank since 2018.

    Jim Tudor
    Strategy Director

    For over a decade Jim was a board director at Havas, one of the largest integrated marketing communications agencies in the world. He ran a number of agencies in the group with a combined turnover of £30 million.

    A founding director of Waterfall, Jim also runs sister company and trends consultancy Future Index®. Specialising in working with universities, business schools and the higher education sector, Jim has partnered with over 30 European institutions. As well as providing strategic and creative consultancy, Jim delivers inspiring hacks, workshops and presentations of the latest trends.

    A hands-on professional and creative strategist with over 20 years’ advertising and marketing experience, Jim has managed all kinds of projects. University visions and plans. Student-led communications platforms. Award-winning social media campaigns. Alumni engagement initiatives. You name it.

    Jim has delivered keynote presentations at CASE, CIM HE, UCAS and numerous conferences in Europe. He also has significant experience working outside of education, managing creative work for blue-chip names like ASDA, Halifax, Virgin Media and more.

    Paul Tannahill
    Creative Director

    Paul has over 20 years’ experience of design, advertising and branding. He was a lead creative at the Havas group for several years and has won bucket loads of awards for his art direction and creative thinking.

    Paul’s also built a great reputation as one of the most inventive art directors in the business, constantly looking at new innovations from 3D and thermochromic print to image recognition technology.

    You name it Paul has worked on it from brands and campaigns to brochures, social media posts and TV ads. As well as creating work for many universities, Paul has art directed projects for big brands such as Virgin Media, Asda and Specsavers. He’s a great talent you can trust to give your projects the edge and lots of creative polish.

    Richard Hartley
    Creative Director

    A creative storyteller, Richard has over 25 years’ advertising and marketing experience.

    Richard was Creative Director at Havas People in Manchester when the team won so many creative awards they didn’t know what to do with them. A conceptual copywriter, he has worked on every kind of creative project imaginable, creating messages for everything from big campaigns and websites to videos, social media, exo stands and AR filters.

    With vast knowledge of the world of education, Richard has developed brands, videos, brochures, prospectuses, social media, TV adverts and more for universities and colleges. He has been instrumental in helping our education clients to attract more students and pick up shiny awards for their prospectuses, research marketing and international campaigns.

    Richard has also been a judge at several creative awards, including the Heist Awards, Recruitment Business Awards and Manchester Evening News Awards.

    Andrea Mellow
    Client Services Manager

    Andrea started off in media sales before quickly making the switch to agency life with a UK-based recruitment advertising agency. Andrea’s attention to detail and ability to deliver projects in close partnership with her clients has seen her make the step up from project and administration roles to Account Manager and Account Director at some of the largest agencies in the industry.

    During her career, Andrea has specialised in both commercial and public sector recruitment marketing. And she’s specialised in the world of Education Marketing for the last five years. As the key agency contact for some of the UK’s largest universities, Andrea has worked on a diverse range of media and creative campaigns. Everything from social media, online display advertising, exhibition stands and promotional materials to websites, print and out of home advertising.

    Working as an extension of our clients’ teams, Andrea brings together project teams and keeps a close eye on everything to make sure creative marketing projects are delivered successfully from start to finish. Andrea’s creative projects have won awards at the RADs, PPMAs, OnRec Awards, RMAs, CIPDs and more. But it’s the reward of delivering a great project to a happy client that really motivates her.

    Andrea really enjoys working with education clients on campaigns that help young people to understand the different opportunities available to them, so they can make informed decisions about their future and pursue careers in areas they are passionate about.

    Lexy Cummins
    Project Manager

    Lexy has over 5 years’ Higher Education experience gained at Coventry University and Manchester Metropolitan University, where she delivered a wide range of innovative projects that helped to improve student support and the student experience. Lexy was also instrumental in helping to bring Manchester Metropolitan University’s flagship School of Digital Arts (SODA) to life.

    Not only has Lexy driven projects behind the scenes, she’s also taken on student facing roles within careers & employability and the student experience. These frontline roles have given her a deep knowledge and understanding of the importance and impact of the student voice, and of course, ever-changing HE landscape!

    Lexy is a great fit for Waterfall, bringing lots of energy and experience, as well as brilliant project and client management skills.

    Lili Cox
    Designer

    A Graphic Design graduate, Lili joined us in September 2021 from Manchester School of Art. Quickly establishing herself as a key member of the Waterfall team, Lili has worked on a diverse range of campaigns and projects for our clients from brands and events to videos and social.

    A particular highlight for Lili was producing a National Student Survey campaign for her university – Manchester Metropolitan University. Lili helped to create the name, logo, creative strategy and Feedback Festival brand identity for this huge award-winning project that had a vibrant event at its heart and needed to be delivered to very tight deadlines.

    Lili has worked as a mentor, supporting a group of students to become content creators for a user-generated campaign. She has also played a major role in projects for UCAS, Universities UK International and NTU. Lili is also responsible for running our social media channels, developing the strategy and all of the content.
