We worked closely with Manchester Metropolitan University’s marketing team to create a disruptive brand for student recruitment and communications.
Create a fresh and exciting rebrand with plenty of personality and flexibility that would capture the spirit of Manchester and Manchester Met, while helping to create consistency across high-profile marketing and advertising campaigns.
We developed a bold design using three distinctive blocks and created a suite of inspiring headlines for a comprehensive toolkit, so the in-house design team and other agencies could apply it to different campaigns and materials.
We were also chosen to create the first big campaign to harness the new brand that aimed to attract postgraduate students. Through digital assets, social media and high-profile outdoor posters, we targeted potential postgraduate students with inspirational messages, encouraging them to take their learning, knowledge and careers to the next level.
We also created four 60-second videos of current postgraduate students, filming them talking in different locations on campus and in Manchester. The diversity of the students made sure the videos were very different. The students included an international student, a student with hearing impairment who wanted to progress their career and students who had joined from other universities and progressed from a degree course at Manchester Met.
These videos featured on the website and social media. We also created 30 and 15 second edits of their stories, and a hero 30-second video using sound bites from all the students speaking about the benefits of postgraduate study.
