    To inspire and attract brilliant creative minds, we made a suite of beautifully shot cinematic films for Nottingham School of Art & Design.

     

    Brief

    After developing a vibrant, creative and very flexible brand for Nottingham School of Art and Design, we were then asked to help them grow their student numbers by producing a stylish 60-second hero film. As well as showcasing the great facilities, the students and their amazing work, the film needed to position the School as a hive of creativity and collaboration. A place where all students are nurtured, connected with industry and free to express their ideas.

    Solution

    We wrote a poetic script to inspire students to create, innovate, redefine the norm, and ‘make it’ at Nottingham School of Art & Design. We selected students to showcase the different courses and fantastic facilities. We hand-picked the best locations at the School. And we oversaw the creative direction of the film shoot, carefully setting up stylish shots with amazing lighting to showcase the students, facilities and different student work to excite the next generation of illustrations, animators and designers.

     

    We also created four extra films that each focused on one of the students in the hero film. Here we showed the students crafting their work as they talked passionately about their inspiration, creativity and what life is like as an art/design student.

     

    Results

    These high-quality films were a big hit with our young creative audience. Embedded on the website and promoted on TikTok, Meta and YouTube, the films achieved over 780,000 impressions in just four weeks. The campaign smashed its click-through rate targets and increased views of the Nottingham School of Art & Design website by 238% compared to last year.
