To inspire and attract brilliant creative minds, we made a suite of beautifully shot cinematic films for Nottingham School of Art & Design.
It’s unrivalled facilities and expertise make Brackenhurst the ideal place to study Animal Science, Equine Management, Animal Care, Agriculture and Countryside Management. But there was low recognition amongst young people and growing competition from city centre colleges. So, we were asked to create a fun and engaging brand to promote their courses, campus and facilities to local school and college leavers who could go onto study at NTU and enjoy careers with a difference.
After researching the competition, creating a choice of concepts and testing them with our audience – a clear route emerged. ‘Learn Differently’ captured the student proposition perfectly, as it focused on the very different learning experience Brackenhurst offers. We brought this concept to life with bright, vibrant colours, beautiful imagery and illustrated icons to reflect the campus, courses and facilities.
We then created a campaign toolkit for the NTU design team. This included print, digital, out of home and social media templates. It also had a prospectus cover, internal page designs, key messages and a tone of voice guide.
Finally, we created a hero film that showed the beauty of the dazzling campus and its incredible facilities and unique student experience. This was created in the brand style with colourful icons and typography, positive messaging, stylish footage and upbeat music. We loved exploring the Brackenhurst campus, filming bulls, cats, colour-changing scorpions and cheeky pygmy goats who nibbled our clothes!
The refreshed brand launched for the 2023 recruitment cycle which saw a 54% year-on-year increase in applications. This trend has continued with a further 14% year-on-year increase in applications for the 2024 cycle to date. Whilst the new brand video has also proved a big hit receiving over 65,000 views through paid and organic campaigns across TikTok, YouTube and the NTU website.
